Not eating sugar is on autopilot now and that’s what I love about giving up sugar completely. No more debating and endless inner dialogues about eating that one piece of dark chocolate. My mind is calm and quiet and that allows for sugar to literally vanish from my thoughts. Just like I no longer debate with myself about lighting up a cigaret. Because I don’t smoke. End of story.
Loss of appetite
I still enjoy the effect it has on my hunger/cravings and actually, this week it has felt more like a loss of appetite.
Many days I get to 3 PM before realizing that I haven’t had any lunch. If it has to do with not eating sugar or just with having a bit too much on my plate workwise, I don’t know.
IBS, bloating and sugar
Last week I happily told you how my IBS symptoms had diminished quite significantly and that I hadn’t had a single flare all November.
Well, I guess I jinxed it! I woke up Saturday morning and had a stomach ache and a painful bloated feeling. It got worse throughout the day and continued all weekend. I’m better now but it still frustrates me that I don’t know exactly what sets it off and how I get rid of it once it’s there. Damn you, IBS!
But please, tell me, how are you guys doing? Hanging in there?
